Conditions We Treat

Our pediatric urology unit is equipped to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, including:

• Hypospadias: A congenital condition where the urethral opening is located on the underside of the penis rather than at the tip, which may require surgical correction to restore normal function and appearance.
• Vesicoureteral Reflux (VUR): A condition where urine flows backward from the bladder to the kidneys, increasing the risk of urinary tract infections and kidney damage. Treatment may involve medication or surgery, depending on the severity.
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Recurrent UTIs can be a sign of underlying urological issues that require further evaluation and treatment to prevent complications.
• Undescended Testes (Cryptorchidism): A condition where one or both testes fail to descend into the scrotum, which can impact fertility and increase the risk of testicular cancer if not corrected surgically.
• Obstructive Uropathy: Blockages in the urinary tract that can lead to kidney damage if not treated promptly. Surgery may be necessary to remove the obstruction and restore normal urine flow.
• Spina Bifida and Neurogenic Bladder: Children with spina bifida often experience bladder dysfunction due to nerve damage. Our team provides tailored management plans to improve bladder control and prevent kidney damage.
• Hernias and Hydroceles: Surgical repair of inguinal hernias and hydroceles (fluid accumulation around the testicles) to prevent complications and discomfort.
